Our 'Buy Scottish' Policy
Through our ten operational and consented wind farms, we have invested more than £500 million into the Scottish economy. We firmly believe that our approach, working with Scottish engineering, electrical and civil contractors to build our wind farms, is the most sustainable way to do it.
A an example of our commitment, we have a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CS Wind UK, based in Campbeltown and have committed to source turbine towers from them for our consented and future wind farms. Our commitment secures jobs for Scottish people in the future and forms part of our pledge to supporting Scottish businesses. Community Windpower recognises that CS Wind is going through a period of uncertainty, however our commitment to them remains unchanged.
